Tattoo inspiration, knitting and fears

Here I am, mildly panicking as the Blood and Thunder roller derby bootcamp looms this weekend...

On Friday evening I'm heading to Dublin with some of the most amazing ladies I have ever met for a weekend of learning and skating and hopefully awesome times! So I suppose I'll be offline until I'm home on Sunday.

Meanwhile, I've been finishing off a sloppy jumper, knitted up especially for camp...but I'm not sure I have room to pack it! Luggage fail!





Seeing my knitting needles has given me ink lust again...I clearly need a tattoo that looks like this ~~>




Mostly I'm all set to go, I have lists which I'm checking and re-checking.

Before I go I'm hoping the weather holds for me to get a couple of outdoor skates...this also hinges on my outdoor wheels finally arriving though.

dreadful days with bright moments

What a truly obnoxious day to be in my head.

Not helped by not being at training today, that makes me feel extra rotten.

I got tired of thinking and have made a little Etsy shop to cheer myself up.  Just one wee fascinator in there at the moment, but watch this space, there's lots more to follow

A hurdle passed

Training tonight was just awesome!

Ten minutes of hell to start
Chinese whispers in a pace line plus lots of practice on assists
And.....

I managed 25 laps in 5 minutes!

I don't know if it's the new wheels or the gym actually working...but...something works!

Music and madness

Last nights gym playlist boiled down to a pleasing mix of MSI, Calabresse and Die Cheerleader Die.

It got me through an hour and a half in any case.

I officially dislike arm bikes was the final conclusion of the evening.

I also dislike my stupid brain and this morning I managed to gouge a lump out of my arm.
Yes yes, self harm is bad blah blah blah.
Except it's not really. It's delightfully contained and most importantly it WORKS.
So don't frown on me, or feel sorry for me if you notice scratch marks on my arms. I'm dealing and venting...just breath a sigh of relief that I'm not taking it out on you or bothering you with my petty insecurities.
